New bylaws adopted for Signs, Cemeteries and Crematoria

Two new bylaws have been adopted by Kaipara District Council.

Following a voluntary review of the Consolidated General Bylaw 2020, Council proposed to remove Part 5 – Signs, and Part 7 – Cemeteries and Crematoria to make each Part into separate bylaws.   

Public consultation on Council’s proposals to amend the Consolidated General Bylaw 2020 and to make each Part into separate bylaws was open for one month, with no submissions received for either.

Council has now adopted the two proposed bylaws, along with corresponding Sign Standards and Cemeteries and Crematoria Code of Practice. All take effect and will be available on our website from 1 May 2024.
