Just weeks after the last citizenship ceremony, another 24 people from across the globe proudly became New Zealanders.

Further work on externally funded community hubs has paused following the council briefing.

Whakapirau, Paparoa, Ruawai, Arapohue, Maungatūroto are just a few of the places now home to 27 official New Zealand citizens.

Fourteen Kaipara residents marked a momentous occasion on Thursday 17 October, officially becoming New Zealand citizens in a special ceremony.

A draft Welcoming Plan for Kaipara is now open for community feedback until 1 November, 2024.
