New loos at Baylys Beach get thumbs up
A set of new loos for Baylys Beach goers were officially blessed and opened to the public late last week.
Check them out! The new facilities are situated at the corner of Seaview Road and Ocean View Terrace and provide safe and accessible facilities for the community and visitors, replacing the old toilets that were in a state of disrepair.
Our team worked with local company Huband Contractors Ltd to carry out the works. A mural to adorn the walls is to come in collaboration with the Baylys Beach community, and will join the ranks of other stunning art showcased on public toilets around Kaipara District.
Construction of the new facilities was mainly funded through financial contributions (by growth).
With the toilets ticked off, construction on the boardwalk extension is planned to start in August, improving connectivity between the beach, the new facilities and the wider Baylys Beach residential area. Funding for the boardwalk extension is from the Tourism Infrastructure Fund (TIF) administered by the Ministry of Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
